Ashton Who?

Life has dealt harshly with Ashton. His birth mother abandoned him when he was only two years old, his parents died in an automobile accident when he was 13 and he grew up in a Foster Care group home. He was so good with tools that the director asked him to fix things. Looking for spare parts, Ash visited a local scrap yard. The variety of discarded items there excited him and after turning 18 he started working there, repairing what he could and recycling what her couldn’t to earn them money. He spent great deal of time exploring the yard to see what he could find that “spoke” to him. He stumbled upon mysteries in which he became deeply involved. But they all came with risk and a price he had to pay. Throughout it all he was also looking to find himself and his history. What he found was a girlfriend whose principles sometimes got in the way. But Ash was resourceful to meet all challenges confronting him, proving the adage “seek and you shall find.”

Commentary

This book challanged me more than the others I'd writen. I was interested in how the war came about but didn't want to be stuck in writing it to the end. I had to find an off-ramp that made sense. Whether I did or not, I leave for you to judge. I wish you good readings.
